MFRI Honors OpME Logo Design Contest Winner
In 2019, MFRI and the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) invited youth in sixth to 12th grades to compete in a logo contest for Operation Military Experience.
The winning logo was designed by military child John Ruedisueli, who, along with one of his parents, received transportation and lodging for a four-day, three-night trip to Washington, D.C. in conjunction with MCEC’s National Training Seminar that year. John’s design was unveiled and he was honored at a distinguished lecture given by MFRI Director Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth at the seminar.
MFRI’s intent was to incorporate John’s logo into recruitment and promotional materials for OpME. However, because of changing brand guidelines at Purdue University, the institute was unable to move forward with the design.
MFRI extends its thanks once again to all of the military youth who participated in the contest.
